The Sri Murugan Temple was born from a heartfelt vision: to build a sacred home where people from all walks of life could find unity, share in devotion, and grow spiritually. Founded in the year 2000, we are a registered non-profit organization under the Canada Not-for-Profit Corporations Act.
Our temple is dedicated to the glory of Lord Murugan, who represents divine wisdom and courage. Over the years, we have been blessed to see our community flourish. What started as a humble gathering has grown into a vibrant hub that welcomes thousands of visitors and devotees seeking peace and connection. We warmly invite you to become a part of our story.

We are incorporated as non profit organisation under “15182921 Canada Society”. It is registered under Canada not-for-profit corporations Act on the 9th of July of 2023.
The project is currently in its early stages, and we are looking for a rental space or land in the Waterloo region to establish our temple.
Founded on the principles of universal access to the Divine, our temple warmly welcomes everyone, regardless of their background or belief, creating an inclusive spiritual environment.
Sri Murugan Temple is a unique "Learning Temple" focused on fostering a sense of community and spiritual growth within the Saiva Hindu community in Waterloo, Ontario.
